Liberty Professionals outplayed and beat defending champions, Asante Kotoko 2-1 to move top of the Glo Top Four table.

It took the Dansoman-based side just 15 minutes into the start of the game to score both goals as Yaw Antwi hit a brace past a struggling Kotoko side on match-day- two of the competition at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Despite entering into the game as the favourites, the Porcupine Warriors were undone in the 7th minute when Yaw Antwi put Liberty.

Eight minutes later, Yaw Antwi doubled the lead, volleying from outside the 18 yard box to beat Eric Nii Baah in post for Kotoko.

Liberty went into the break 2-0 up but upon return, they had a man sent off after Yakubu Seidu was shown the red card for a second bookable offence in the 58th minute.

Kotoko could not take advantage of their numerical strength as their goalkeeper; Eric Nii Baah helped to keep the scores at 2-0.

Francis Akwaffo however pulled a goal back for Kotoko when he scored late on in the game.

In the other game, Berekum Arsenals drew 1-1 with Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
