Kudjoe Fianoo could return as chief executive of AshantiGold after ironing out his differences with the club’s board of directors.

Fianoo announced his resignation last week stating a lack of financial support from the board and interference in his work but latest reports indicate that he may have jumped ship too quickly and has now made a u-turn.

Fianoo met the board chairman of AshantiGold John Owusu on Monday and looks set for a return to the fold of the Obuasi side who are desperate to recapture their big name status in Ghana football.

The club’s failure to qualify for any African Cup competition after for the first time in five years after last season caused friction between Fianoo and the management.

But he could be back leading their quest to recapture past glory but with newly defined roles in his chief executive position.
