Accra Hearts of Oak have sacked seven experienced players from the club in a bid to improve on their season from last season.

New coach Kosta Papic has been working with players at the club for a month and has told some of the biggest names in the club that they are no longer good enough ahead of the new season.

Three-time goal king Ishmael Addo who joined the Phobians until the end of last season has not been offered an extension to his contract after Hearts told him they don't need him again.

Other players including Sannie Mohammed, Joseph Tachie Menson and Francis Bossman have all been told to new for new clubs.

The letter said” "following an appraisal of the last season and taking into consideration our redefined objectives, management would be willing release you to any club of your choice before the expiry date."

Bossman and Sannie were key for Hearts during their run up to Hearts' Confederations Cup win in 2004 but a poor season last term has prompted wholesale changes in playing personnel with Pappic at the forefront of it.
