Former Ghana youth defender Adamu Mohammed has been released by Turkish side Genclerbirligi after just six months at the club.

Mohammed was declared surplus to requirements following restructuring plans by coach Mesut Bekkal.

The former Asante Kotoko defender joined the club during the January transfer window and played in several matches for the club.

Despite his good showing, Bekkal thinks Mohammed must find new employer after the club finished 15th in the Super Lig last season.

The defender is now eyeing a stay in Turkey or a return to his former club Kotoko.
