Ghana's impressive run has been ended by Japan as the Black Stars lose 3-4 in an international friendly.
Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac made changes to the team that qualified Ghana to the 2010 World Cup in Wednesday’s friendly at the Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht.
Isaac Vorsah started in central defence alongside John Mensah as Laryea Kingston, Haminu Draman and Asamoah Gyan all substitutes in the World Cup qualifier last Sunday are handed starting roles.
And after 30 minutes, it was Asamoah Gyan who fired Ghana into the lead from a spot kick as the Black Stars held onto their slim lead to end the half.
Back from recess, the Rennes striker doubled Ghana's lead scoring after 46 minutes.
Three minutes later, Kengo Nakumura pulled one back for Japan.
Ghana's bench introduced Matthew Amoah who made it 3-1 in 65 minutes.
But Japan produced a great come back in the last 13 minutes as Tamada, Okazaki and Junichi Inamoto scored to win the game for the Asian side.
Both sides are finalists for the 2010 World Cup having qualified from their respective zones.
