Appiah leads Stars against Bafana Bafana

Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah will lead Milovan Rajevac’s 16-member playing squad that would play South Africa in an international friendly on Wednesday.

The Black Stars will play the Bafana Bafana in an international friendly in Bloemfontein.

Milovan Rajevac has handed Heracles Almelo’s attacking midfielder, Kwame Quansah his debut call up into the senior team.

Quansah is one of the few foreign-based players in the squad. Kaiser Chiefs defender, Jonathan Quartey is included in the squad to face Bafana Bafana.

Daniel Yeboah, who featured in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, gets another call up while Asante Kotoko’s Kojo Poku returns to the squad.

Ghana squad:

Goalkeepers: Fatau Dauda and Osei Boateng

Defenders: Harrison Afful, David Addy, John Boye, Jonathan Quartey and Sam Ayew Yeboah.

Midfielders: Stephen Appiah, Daniel Yeboah, Edmund Owusu-Ansah, Haminu Draman, Agyemang Badu and Kwame Quansah
