Haminu Dramani claims the Black Stars are ready for whoever the draw throws up in the African Nations Cup after surviving the first round qualifying scare.

The Russia-based player claims the Black Stars have learn't their lessons from the opening half of the qualifiers and reckons they can take anyone apart now in their bid to reach South Africa 2010.

Ghana has been seeded for the draw, due to take place in Zurich on October 22, which means they will avoid the likes of Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and two-time African champions Egypt, but Dramani knows that will not make the path to South Africa any easier.

“I think we saw from the first round that you cannot take anything for granted again,” he told KickOffGhana.com.

“We had to do it the hard way, but we are ready for any team that the draw will give us. Names don’t play football so no-one will scare us, given how much we want to play at the World Cup again.”

Dramani is hoping he can retain his place in the Ghana squad for the next stage of the qualifiers as does Matthew Amoah who says the hard work begins now.

“This is where it really gets serious, the point where we will really have to be at our best to be able to qualify again,” he said.
