Ghana striker Manuel Junior Agogo is set for a short spell on the sidelines because of injury.

The 29-year-old was not in action for his Egyptian club Zamalek in their 1-0 win over Dynamos of Zimbabwe in the Champions League yesterday.

Agogo suffered a knee injury during training last week which led to his absence during the game in Cairo.

He is expected to be out of action for two weeks and should be available if the Black Stars play a friendly in two weeks' time.

Agogo joined Zamalek from English club Nottingham Forest in a big-money move last month.

He failed to impress in his debut when they played arch rivals Al Ahly in the Champions League two weeks ago.
