Sellas Tetteh will rope in Black Stars forward Opoku Agyemang into his squad for the 2009 World Youth Championships in Egypt.
The Qatar based player impressed for the Black Stars in two World Cup qualifying games and will be called up to boost the strike force of the U-20 team who are keen to add the World title to the African trophy they won in Rwanda this year.
“He is within the age limit so we have discussed it and he will be with the team for the tournament in Egypt,” team head Jordan Anagla said.
“We need our best players and he proved recently that he has qualities that will benefit this team.”
Anagla said the scramble for places in the U 20s is likely to be intense but insists some players are effectively untouchable.
“Daniel Opare at Real Madrid is such a fine player so once he is fit we have to take him. You can't leave such a good player out. He was injured but we have seen many players go out and come back better than before.”
