Ghanian striker Mark Amofah finally made his dream debut in the colours of Denmark side, SonderjyskE, during the Danish SAS Ligaen game against AaB on Saturday.

SonderjykE played to a 1-1 draw with Amofah starting the game. He was only substituted in the 73rd minute.

Speaking to KickOff.com after the game, the former Bloemfontein Celtic player expressed his excitement about his dream debut in Denmark.

“I was little worried since I have been waiting for my international clearance and it only arrived on Friday.

“I have always been working hard at training whilst waiting for my papers so I was surprised when the coach announced my name in the starting line up.

“I told myself that this was my best chance to impress and repay the coach’s faith in me and I think I gave it my best shot as everybody in the team was happy with my performance.”

SonderjyskE occupy position 8 in the Danish SAS Ligaen with five points after five games.

Their next fixture is away from home against Odense BK on September 15.
