Ghanaian defender Samuel Kuffour is set to continue his career in the Russian Premier League, joining last-placed FC Khimki.

Kuffour, who is about to turn 32, spent the last half year at Ajax Amsterdam but only made two appearances at the dutch side.

The player had more success as German giants Bayern Munich, where he played from 1993 to 2005. During that time, he reached two Champions League finals of which one was one.

AS Roma signed Kuffour in 2005, but loaned him out to Livorno and Ajax respectively during the last two seasons.
