UAE club Al Shaab are seeking to sign Ghanaian striker Godwin Attram to boost their chances in the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old, who plays for Saudi club Al Hazm, was impressive in the Asian Champions League last season which prompted interest from the Emirates club.

Al Shaab, coached by Luka Peruzovic, finished fifth last season and are confident that Attram can score the goals to send the team to the top.

We are also trying to sign Bahraini Mohamed Salmeen and Godwin Attram of Ghana, Al Shaab spokesman Abdul Rahman Al Owais revealed.

Attram will be one of the top attractions of the UAE Etisalat Pro League when it kicks off at the end of next month.

Al Shaab, the Sharjah-based club, have already signed the Sierra Leone captain Mohammed Kallon.
