City rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics will renew their age long rivalry as they battle for this year’s Homowo Challenge Cup.

The match under the auspices of the Chiefs and people of Ga Mashie will be played at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra on Sunday, August 17.

The two sides are expected to give soccer fans thrilling and exciting moments despite the numerous problems that confronted them in the just ended Premier League.

Hearts picked a disappointing eighth position with Olympics going on relegation at the end of the season.

A statement issued from the office of the Gbese Mantse signed by Niibi Ayi Bonte - spokesperson for the Gbese Mantse copied to GNA Sports said moderate fees of 2.00 GHC, 3.00GHC, and 5.00 GHC will be charged at the gates, with Kick off time at 3:00pm.

It said the two sides will use the occasion to test their strength for respective assignments in the coming season, with some newly recruited players also on schedule to make their maiden appearances for the two sides.

The statement said the winner of the match will take home a giant trophy donated by the Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II, a Director of Hearts of Oak and a ‘Father’ of both clubs by virtue of his traditional position.
