Asante Kotoko have had their CAF Confederation Cup game against Dolphins FC rescheduled to Monday after having played 45 minutes of the opening half.

The Baba Yara Stadium pitch on Sunday was rendered difficult to play on after the rains set in during recess.

Match referee, Jose Antonio from Angola after inspecting the rain-soaked pitch during recess returned with the teams for the second session of the continental game but blew his whistle to signal the end of the game.

The Porcupine Warriors, leading by a lone goal scored on the stroke of halftime through Nana Arhin Duah would now play their Nigerian opponents once again on Monday at the same venue.

Asante Kotoko would have to overturn a 2-0 deficit handed them by the Nigerian side in the first leg to secure a place in the next round of the competition which they came close to tasting glory after losing in the finals of the maiden edition of the competition in 2005.
