Ghana international goalkeeper William Amamoo says he has not left his top flight Egyptian club Ettisalat.

Swedish giants Djurgarden and Fredrikstad of Norway are reported to be keen on signing the goalkeeper.

This prompted reports that Amamoo has left his Egyptian club but the shot-stopper says he is still a player of Ettisalat.

"I have not left Ettisalat. These reports in the media are false because I am still here with my club in Egypt," Amamoo said.

"Indeed there are two clubs in Europe who we are talking with but nothing concrete has been reached yet.

"And even under those circumstances my club is involved in the talks so for that simple reason I couldn’t have quit my club.

"Such reports would only lead to the suspicion from my club that I am using unorthodox means to leave them.

"I am a principled guy and wouldn't do anything like this. Ettisalat rely on me and until and unless we reach an agreement I am still their player."

Amamoo will have to wait until the end of the season before he can leave Ettisalat as they are not keen on releasing him in this winter transfer window.
