Handball League to commence

The second round of the Greater Accra Handball League would commence on Thursday August 23 at all the league centres.

A release issued and signed by Charles W. Mensah, Secretary of the Association copied to the GNA Sports on Monday informed all participating teams that their registration cards will be inspected before all matches commence.

Mr Mensah therefore advised all the teams to ensure that they return their registration cards in time for the needed endorsement for the smooth commencement of the second round.

The round had Fire Service leading the League table with 24 points, followed by Prison Service - 21 points, Ghana Armed Forces - 18 points, Police Service - 15 points, HOSTAC Club - 12 points, Asomdwe Club - nine points, Future Stars -six points, Joy Handball Club - three points and Old Hands no point in the men's division whilst in the female's division Police Service were tops with 18 points followed by Prison Service with 15 points, Fire Service - 12 points, Ghana Armed Forces - Nine points, HOSTAC Club - three points, Asomdwe Club - three points and Joy Handball Club with no point.
