The Annual Taywood Bowl Invitational Golf Championship will tee off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, October 11.
The one-day event, which is to be sponsored by Taysec Construction Limited, has so far received more than 100 entries.
Mr Kwabena Oteng Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday that management of the Club has put in place adequate preparations to ensure a keen competition.
He said the event, which started as far back as 1960, continues to generate interest every year and has the conviction that this year's event would not be exceptional.
Jeoff Fisher, former captain of the Achimota Golf Club and now Managing Director of Taysec Construction Limited as well as Mike Aggrey and Daniel List, winner of the Nigerian Independence Day Open are expected to vie for the prestigious trophy.
Other golfers expected to participate in the Ladies section are Clara Price, Victoria Adjei, Grace Afriyie, Florence Etwi-Barimah and Ama Morgan.
