Golfers prepare for Medal Championship

The July Medal Open Golf Championship of the Tema Country Golf Club tees off at Tema on Saturday, July 26.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manager of the Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said about 100 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event.

He said the competition, which is now the seventh edition is being sponsored by the Club and would be played under the local rules of the Ghana Golf Association.

Achimota Golf Club, Celebrity Golf Club and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs, all in the Greater Accra Region have been invited to participate in the keenly expected competition.

Alex Fiagomey, Kofi Gyau and William Asiedu Yeboah, all of the Tema Country Golf Club have declared their intention to win the trophy.

Mr Adablanu asked all the golfers to return their cards before noon on Saturday to enable the championship committee to fully process them.

Meanwhile Achimota Golf Club would hold their Mid-year Meeting on Wednesday, July 30.

Mr Kwabenan Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club urged all paid up members to attend and be punctual.
