Essel-Koomson wins Prudential Bank Medal Golf

Kofi Essel-Koomson returned a net score of 74 to win this month's Achimota Golf Club Open Medal Championship played at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Saturday.

He was trailed in the second position with a stroke by Peter Abrokwa who had 75 net while young golfer, Daniel List took the third position with 77 net, beating Bob Evans on count-back

In the Men's Second Division, Paul Owusu-Baah beat Nick Raialston-Brown and Michael Aggrey on count-back when they all returned 72 net score to claim the title while Betty Sowah-Allotey also defeated Clara Price on count-back when they returned 78 net score each, to emerge the champion.

Mr Bob Evans, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club thanked Prudential Bank for the support and urged other corporate bodies to help develop the sport.

Mr John Sackah Addo, a Member of Council of State who is also the Board Chairman of the Bank gave the assurance that the Bank would continue to offer the necessary support needed in the promotion and the development of the sport in the country.
