Barclays Bank Golf now June 14

The twice-postponed Barclays Bank Ghana Limited Invitational Golf Championship would now tee off at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Saturday, June 14.

Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said about 120 amateur and professional golfers including guests of the Bank are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event.

He said the competition since its inception in 1969 continues to generate interest year after year and was optimistic that this year's would not be an exception.

Mr Oteng-Aboagye said the event, which would be played under the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club and the rules of the Ghana Golf Association, has Handicap 18 and 24 as the entry requirements. P

aul Owusu-Baah, Dan Dennis, Sam Sowah, Mike Ezan and Mike Aggrey, all of the Achimota Golf Club are expected to be seen in action.

The Ladies Sector would also witness opposition from 'Lady Scientific' Florence Etwi-Barimah, veteran Mona Captan and Grace 'Tico-Tico' Afriyie.
